Vinay Pai: New Blog on the Launch Pad (I mean Type Pad)

About Me

I'm a technology exec who calls Silicon Valley home. As the Vice President of Product Development at PayCycle, I lead an organization that includes User Experience, Engineering, QA, IT, and Operations. During the past 10 years, I've held various management roles in Cassatt, Sun Microsystems, and Schlumberger. Most recently, as the VP of Product Engineering at Cassatt, I led the definition and launch of a new product line that helps enterprises manage their data center resources more efficiently. As a senior engineering manager at Sun Microsystems, I was responsible for several Java, XML, and Web Services technologies. At Schlumberger, I developed real-time engineering software in Tulsa and Austin and then led a new development team in Paris, France. I have worked for IBM and EDS and had founded Victory Software, a small start-up that developed game software. On an educational note, I have several degrees from Rice University: MS Electrical Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, and BA Computer Science. On a personal note, I am an avid (but not great) golfer. My enthusiasm for the game outpaces my handicap.

New Blog on the Launch Pad (I mean Type Pad)

We're almost ready to launch the new PayCycle blog. Kyle's been busy getting the blog site ready to go, and he's also turned into our local blog evangelist-- enlisting contributors, getting them onboarded, and spreading the "gospel." Guy Kawasaki, watch out!
